When you work on Network Marketing using internet everywhere you click, you see the words; Brand, Promote, Build, Join; always remember there is ONE more important word that goes hand in hand with each of the above statements. If you answered anything else, please continue reading to learn the importance of self-branding. “You” are the most important factor in any promotion. Bluntly put, YOU are the “X” factor in YOUR success.
People buy from people first, not because of the product or service. They buy the product or service because they feel like they know the person and have committed to a professional relationship built on trust.
Now before we go any further, to effectively discover the power of promoting you, we must first define the phrase;
“The process of uncovering and marketing your core competencies, your competitive advantage and your value proposition, all to meet an audience’s needs; resulting in your financial freedom and fulfillment.”
The Importance of Promoting YOU
Opportunities come and go in the puzzling world of online marketing. Having a huge downline in multiple programs does not help with cross-promotions or if the programs close. Some programs only provide protection when promoting their opportunity, some do not allow a download of your personally referred members; they are lost forever if the site goes down permanently. Occurrences of shutting the doors can be frequent, dependent on the program or product; log in one day and your entire list is gone for good. Now what? Start over and do it all over again or start over and do things that benefit YOU and your newly forming list.
Realistically, “branding you” is a step that should be taken in every step of life. You work to brand yourself as a great mother or father, husband or wife, daughter or son, employee or employer and affiliate marketer or a specialist in marketing your very own product or service.
Employment resumes are professionally written promoting your core competencies proving you can do the tasks required. Large corporations promote their name and people buy their products. How many times have your kids said, “I want the Nike shoes”, the “Tommy Hilfiger” shirt, the “Apple Phone”? So why wouldn’t online marketing work the same way? Funny thing is —- It Does!!
The more you brand yourself as an expert in the market, the more success your ventures will receive, “people buy from people first”!! As we have heard many times before, the most important step to a successful online marketing career is building your own, personal list of prospects. With your own list, you can promote many different types of programs, offers, newsletters, or E-Books depending on the subscriber’s needs, wants or requirements. A well-developed, personal branded promotion is a continuous cycle that starts with YOU plus Your List and equals Increased Revenue.
The cycle will never be broken; as long as your promotions are value packed resources that your subscribers are excited to receive. Remember the old Marketing phrase…. “People buy from people first”
Keep in mind that your list may change, as people will leave; BUT you will always be promoting YOU, so your list will continue to grow.
